We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver / Maintenance Technician to support daily transportation needs and general facility maintenance at our assisted living community. This role is essential in ensuring residents are transported safely and the building remains well-maintained, comfortable, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation / Driver Duties:
- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and scheduled activities.
- Operate facility vehicles, including buses requiring a Class B license.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles as needed.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Keep vehicles clean and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and facility policies.
Maintenance Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs (light plumbing, electrical, painting, patching, etc.).
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment.
- Coordinate with vendors for larger repairs as directed.
- Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and emergency maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class B Driver’s License.
- Clean driving record.
- Prior experience driving buses or large vehicles preferred.
- Maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude when working with seniors.
